What a year this has been! Lots of traveling! Canada and the USA were a truly inspiring time for Dan and me playing the band songs as a duo. We’ve been working on the new album on and off in the recording studio since July.
This time I managed to get the whole band involved in writing songs without them even knowing! The old trick of pressing record while jamming or sound checking paid off. Listening back I found some great song ideas which were then turned into songs.
Meanwhile we released our semi-acoustic album Awake, an emotional journey bare to the bone, with deeply enchanting and at time haunting tales shining freely.
Back to working on the new electric album, we’ve had some great recording sessions and a few troublesome… but nonetheless all very exciting.
Awake led us to do some UK touring as a band as well as the North American shows.
Some beautiful connections were expanded and some new ones were born during our extensive traveling. In New York we were guests on Manhattan Neighborhood Network TV for an interview with Alan Merrill, the man who wrote the Joan Jett hit song ‘I love Rock ’n’ Roll’.
The new album, for which we don’t have a title yet, should be released in 2019. We’re already booked for the New York TV show ‘Ginger New York ’ in September 2019!
Gigs for the New Year are being planned.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
